Exclusive: Simon Cowell was 80′s Bit-Part Actor
Media mogul and king of ‘papp music’ Simon Cowell is believed to have taken bit-parts in a number of American comedy films during the 1980’s. Although he subsequently bought the rights to these movies and had them destroyed, one still survives. This photo is taken from his first ever appearance in the classic cult movie ‘Airplane’. It’s clearly him, playing the comedy inflatable pilot. Notice he has a few less laugh lines and the characteristic smug and sanctimonious expression has yet to show itself. Members of the cast and crew we spoke to remembered Mr Cowell as a shy man who never had a bad word to say about anyone.
