After the trouble and vandalism caused by Saturday’s march against Government Cuts, the coalition have laid down new measures to help identify the perpetrators. All protesters must carry three pieces of ID including a household bill with their current name and address upon it, a passport or driving license and one other form of identification. In addition to that a protesting license must be purchased and produced on demand. Protests will take place within a fenced off area which will be served by toilet facilities, refreshment tents and shops selling flags, effigies and badges. Participants will be asked to pay an entrance fee to the protest area with an option to upgrade to the members area. Those attending multiple protests will be issued with loyalty cards entitling them to one police pardon, for every three events they attend. Although no weapons are allowed, it will be possible to rent body armour for the inevitable police beatings.
